Fine tune Calmdown's Darkclaw, New Darkclaw play style?

Check here for his original post
    http://www.shadowera.com/showthread....law...-and-win!

I came across Calmdown's Darkclaw post and i am so glad that he tried to improve the usability of wulvens deck. Well, cos i hate the boring Warrior and Mage strategy as well.

The problems of his original play style is very similar to Warrior and Mage while (as he's said in his post) wulves heroes lack of ability to destroy ally. So if we play Darkclaw using the same play style of other heroes, it wouldn't fit in the crowd control cards wulven has.

So why don't we exploit Darkclaw's ability?
*All melee damage to Darkclaw is haved*
This ability basically means your opponent's ally need to attack twice to compensate the original damage output. (kinda, As it rounded up so damage is reduced around 0.4 instead of halved if u know what i mean)
Here are the 2 things we can do to take advantage of Darkclaw
    1. Attach Big Teeth. So opponent ally will die slowly when attacking him
    2. Regenerate Him. As the regeneration means double as well.(kinda)

However, this causes one big problem: a LONGER game.
This means we need to exert more damage DIRECTLY to their heroes throughout the game and try to bring down their hero as quick as possible.

Strategy in a nutshell: Direct all your damage output to the hero ranther than taking down their allies and control the board. Minimise damage to Darkclaw(but not risking your damage output to opponent hero). Paralyse opponent ally. Regenerate Darkclaw to avoid fatal damage.

    Straight forward huh?

    Deck:
    4x Deathbone
    2x Keldor
    2x Chimera
    4x Plasma Behemoth

    Ability:
    4x Captured Prey
    4x Now You're Mine (NyM)
    4x Rabid Bite
    3x Regeneration
    4x Bad Santa
    3x Shriek of Vengeance

    Weapon:
    4x What Big Teeth
    1x Jewellers Dream (optional)

Play style: hero nuke, ability heavy
This is a complete different (i wasn't sure if this is new to you all :S) play style. And i find it pretty interesting to play it is very situational and make you think a lot when playing this.

So play Darkclaw like a brave werewolf.
Enjoy! And please leave any comment to improve the deck and wulven play style!

Hmmm, not bad. I am trying WBT-less Moonstalker with allies. Here is my proposed deck list (haven't finished it yet)

    Moonstalker

    4 Medusil
    3 Plasma Behemoth
    3 Keldor
    4 Infernal Gargoyle

    3 Now you're mine
    3 Captured Prey
    2 Rabid Bite
    2 Regeneration
    2 Shriek of Vengeance
    4 Full Moon

    3 Bloodlust
    2 Bazaar

    38 cards

Need to reduce the card count somehow...

EDIT: I decided to remove 1 rabid bite, as I found it was more a late game card, and by then, I already had board control via allies. So two copies of rabid bite now. Also removed 1 Keldor, as I didn't get to play him much before he got fireballed, plasma blasted, crippling blowed, etc. He got killed or incapacitated about 90% of the time I summoned him. He's a pretty big priority target I guess, because of that potential 4 attack. That never happens with gargoyle, since he can only do 2 damage. So it's now down to 36 cards. I want to take out 1 card to make it 35...

    Okay, let's begin:
First off, Keldor and Deathbone have to go, Keldor is a mediocre card at best and the resources you spend to pump him can be used to play another ally or cast a Now You're Mine. Besides, Infernal Gargoyle is so much better for the same price, because of his ability he can withstand a beating and is especially valuable when playing against mages. As for Deathbone, I've tried a couple of Wulven decks with him in 1.24 but the only use I could find for him was a sort of a kamikaze ally that would destroy certain allies if you don't have a Now you're Mine or Captured Prey in your hand. As for other cards, it's all a matter of your playstyle. I, for instance, don't use Rabid Bite in my deck, but instead I'm experimenting with Medusil to see how much and in what instances can her ability be useful. But, IMO, if you're playing a Wulven deck with allies, three allies seem to be the most useful in majority of situations: Chimera, Infernal Gargoyle and Plasma Behemoth.

Hahaha this post looks like I wrote it. I completely agree. His made me think it could be better.

My deck is a little different.

    4 Plasma
    4 Chimera

3 Speed strike (otherwise you will do too little damage)
    4 wbt

    4 regeneration
    3 lone wolf

4 rabbit bite (best removal ever)
4 shriek (for hunter, armor of ages, etc.)

Since it's so a slow deck I think I should add more cards. Thinking of nym or capture prey or perhaps more allies. Although I barely get decked.

I have the hardest time against priest as well and elementalist is also a problem.

yes there are numbers of flaw in darkclaws deck. since there werent enough rare/epic card that compliment the wulven play style. hope they will improve this when next patch comes out.
