This is a great idea. Not to deal with broken cards: just fix them. But to mix it up. Rather than have a rolling block of legal cards (like MTG) just ban a few cards each season and watch the meta move. Easy, fun, disruptive.
Repeating myself for the thousandth time: Lone wolf just needs to be rejigged.

I'm pretty sure the I hate Embers player doesn't need to really answer this right? This thread started with Embers getting my vote at creation.
IMO, soul reaper is not just plain bad for the game. Yes, it's arguable the best life gain spell in any card game. That makes it rather abusive, but there are ways to play around it. There is no way to play around embers without severly limiting your deck design options. Or crippling your own deck mid game. "I'll just stop playing allies in my Lance deck!" Lol.
You can play item destruction against voice, and the armor y'all keep mentioning. Which probably should be in any deck that is not super focused. There is absolutely no amount of destruction that can stop embers.
Lingering essence is not the problem. That card would be fine if embers didn't exist. Gives Jerrico a decent reusable life gain card. The problem is winning while getting out of the red zone. You can win with Embers even when you fail to draw essence. How many other single cards are capable of controlling the board, while winning the game on there own?
Edit: I did suggest a change to Embers that would make it more balanced and less bad for the game.

Attach to an opposing ally. That ally is set ablaze.
When Embers of the just is targeted and destroyed on your turn deal 4 arcane damage to target opposing hero or ally. Then it is shuffled into your deck and you draw a card.

Funny think is that those cards are all atachements so maybe we just need a good anti atachement card:
Ally with ability: when you play this ally, target atachement is returned into his owner hand. Attachements canīt be played when this ally is in play! Make that ally 5cc 2/8...

I hate not being able to play my deck because I don't have enough resources. There is a reason that land destruction was one of the first concepts to get nerfed in MtG.
