Xcom 2

I pre-ordered the Digital Deluxe edition of this and have already pre-loaded it in my Steam account. Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be able to play it immediately because I will probably be spending all my time creating custom characters! I'm planning to make my characters based on "humanoid" cards from the SE sets and see how close I can make them look (probably not close at all ).

Anyone else going to be playing XCOM 2?

I was really hooked on XCOM 1. I had many unsuccessful runs until I finally beat the game (started on Classic/Hardcore out of the box). I still remember the names of my main toons that beat the game lol.

I bought the expansion as soon as it was released but I never got into it for reason which makes me wary to buy XCOM 2.

I'll still probably pick it up at some point (when it's not 80 CAD).

I plan on getting it at some point. Beating the Enemy Unknown on Ironman mode was quite the victorious feeling. I've been anticipating this one for quite some time, but my computer is acting up so unless the parts I'm buying today fix problem, I won't be playing this anytime soon.

Regardless, have fun! I really like the premise of this one and the customization for the soldiers seems great. Not to mention in a few months times there is no telling how many great mods will be available for the game considering the amount of support they have for modding this time around.

You guys should try out the Long War mod for the Enemy Within expansion. It really changed the basic game to a new game.

I'm not trying to promote the game. Just looking to see if there are others who will be playing it. I know Alzorath made Let's Play recordings on the first XCOM

It might potentially be a Game of The Year candidate for 2016. I'm too lazy to give more information than that so

Really enjoying it personally lol... over 30 hours the past week - kinda curious how your human characters turned out for it

I've made several of the heroes and some of the other humanoid cards. I can't say that they look exactly like them though. :P. I'll post a few pics in a day or so and see if people can guess who they're supposed to be.

I had to restart my first playthrough because the first one ended up with my main guys all getting killed in a VIP mission when my specialist failed a 78% hack that alerted all enemies on my position. I'm playing on Veteran with Ironman mode on but I haven't gotten too far ahead just yet as I'm not getting as much time to play it as I would like.
