Is there a forum post for rating game mechanic?

Is there an explanation or forum post on here somewhere with the formula of how your rating changes if you win or lose?

This is an old post but most of it is still valid.

The range of score has changed a bit though (it use to go up to 500).

The average is about 230 (if you remove accounts rated below 150) and ratings above 260 are rarer (only 93 accounts are rated 280 or above right now).

Its befause tou play alot. The more games you play the slower ot goes up. Sometimes its best to wait a couple days into the season to even play. Imce the top guys hit 250 or 300. If you play a ron your rating gets sticky the thread thats linked explains very well

Wow so because I experiment with making different decks and lose half those, when I use my real ones I get crap rating increases, that sucks.

It's much more likely that the system has accurately determined your ranking through your past play and that beating much higher ranked opponents are just flukes.

At the start of the season play your best deck that youbare your best at. When your rating starts to level off and only get adjusted by one or two points then experiment. The linked thread explains well. But yeah if you experiment and lose alot your rating will suffer. But the season is based on points. So if your rating is 150 but you win 20 gsmes a day youll still be high score in top 100. The hugher rating gives you more points per victory.
