Actually, that kind of supports the original interpretation of locations--when you are forcibly warped there, it takes a bit to figure out how to manipulate the territory. BUT if you're the one who warped everyone there, you've had time to set up traps and survey the area. Thus, the one playing the location has already determined his or her plan of action based on the terrain he or she knew they would be warped to, whereas the opponent has to get his or her bearings (wait a turn) before getting any advantage.
