That really bites, other then it getting fixed/solved from within there is one way to get around it but it's a bit extremish. I run a virtual machine with Windows7 installed and it runs flawlessly on a Mac which allows me to use the Windows game client too. I use parallels but there is a free version of like vmware that can do it. I need 1 windows app for electronic testing and is why I do it, you can even buy and older copy of parallels cheap off eBay (version 8 or 9) for like $12 or version 10 from a seller at about $28

Not what you wanted to hear but it is a solution for now and for any future issues that may come up

What type of Mac is it? What year? Can you upgrade your OS version, the latest is 10.11.2
It looks like a problem with your graphics drivers. Unfortunately for things like this we are at the mercy of the Unity3d game engine that we use...

Update from Mavericks to Yosemite or El Capitan should be completely free and both of those should work on hardware that can run Mavericks. I highly recommend updating the OS because the newer two are much better than Mavericks.

The same problem happened to me. I restarted the game and it worked. Simple as that.
