it's tiring. why not just let the client update itself when we start it up? why the need to keep downloading a new installer everytime?

It is one of my greatest hopes that in the future, mankind achieves enlightenment so high we would not need rules, laws, or government to keep the peace and govern ourselves. By our own motivation and volition, we would do what is right and just because it is right and just. This is the central tenet of anarchy. Not chaos and lawlessness, but free will and self-actualization.

It's meant to work like this:
1) Download launcher for PC/Mac from here if you don't already have it installed: http://www.shadowera.com/content.php?147-Play&tabid=78
2) Run launcher. If game has update available, it will update your cllient.
3) Hit PLAY and the client runs.
You should not have to keep downloading the launcher or "installer" (what's that?).
Can you give some more info please? Which platform are you referring to? What's going wrong with just running the launcher you already have when you want to play the game?
I have heard of some people in the past experiencing the launcher failing to do a full update. For those people, I sent a link to newest client (without requiring launcher) but we don't want to push that approach by default.
