Maybe by the vocal and annoying minority who bitch about everything.
The silent majority of Shadow Era players loved that artwork as it represented the priest of light effect perfectly.
That would depend on your point of view, I guess. If the majority did like it, they shouldn't have stayed silent then? I dunno, not really worth getting hung up over. I guess from my perspective at the time it wasn't very well liked (wasn't hated, just not liked), your perspective could have been different.

I think the art definitely fits this card better than PotL. I actually rather like it for this card.

Most of the community would be really surprised that you can apply tiny amounts of pressure and Wulven will change their artwork. I just thought it was sad that art that perfectly represented what the card did was changed.
I could go through the sets and find 100+ cards I don't really like and also find people who would agree with me. Sounds like a real waste of my time considering taste in art is so subjective.
