Can a Passive kick in too late (while the ally is still in play)?

Say I use Layarian Diplomat on Dakrath, then use Eladwen's ability on it. Will Dakrath's passive ability remove frozen at the end of its controller's turn, or is it "too late" for that?

Hi. Once Dakrath's passive returns, he "can't be frozen or disabled" so he would effectively be not frozen at that point, even if Eladwen has frozen him for 2 turns. Please report as a bug if it's not working correctly like that. Thanks.
