Because parentheses are cool. (And it's helpful when describing qualifying conditions).

Parentheses and italicized together means you're hardcore!

And I believe punctuation marks are properly supposed to be on the outside of the end-parentheses.

And proper grammar says I shouldn't start sentences with "Because" and "And," but I don't care.

The parentheses describe an additional effect that takes place under a certain condition. In this case the ally not being able to attack or defend for a turn happens any time you activate the ability, but you get the additional bonus 2 damage on the ally under the condition that you control a Templar.

Is there any chance u will fixed this card little bit. Like 1 shadow energy or duration 2 or not damge or not disable any thing it is quit op now just change the game in 1 turn i dont think this is called balancing.

Hmm jacqui one of them should need to be fixed bro bc there combo is like no counter specially with ythan there is no chance u can win if opponent get perfect hand
