He returns to play if he didn't already come into play that turn.
So that means if you summon it (comes into play) then cast sacrificial lamb, it doesn't come back.
If you summon it, then the opponent kills it, it comes back into play, but if they kill it again, it's dead for good.
If it survives into your next turn, you can use sacrificial lamb on it (or suicide it some other way) and it will return to play.

yeah theres some messyness with those turn duration cards...I'm with you there, I'll let someone else explain that nonsense. But my understanding is it works as I just described, similarly to other cards that require certain things happened "this turn". For example, hit list, doesn't count deaths that happened in your opponent's turn, only in your own.

Beside that, the ruling is about effects with a duration and it's badly written, and should not be interpreted as invalidating everything else we know about the game (e.g. I have a turn, then you have a turn, I have a turn, etc.) It took a couple of years even to resolve that mess to do with durations of "1 turn":

As Bob says, "this turn" literally means the turn we are on, which belongs to the active player.

I just want to know how this card works and also make it the way which fits this threat flavor ;-)
