Exclamation Rabid Bite with Sindarok Apprentice (fixed in 2.92)

    Found a bug!

    1) Rabid Bite caused Sindarok Apprentice to enter combat with a friendly ally
    2) Sindarok dealt ability damage to that friendly ally
    3) Sindarok's text: "When an opposing ally enters combat with Sindarok Apprentice, that opposing ally takes 1 arcane damage"

Note: RB was targeting the other ally that attacked SA, not SA itself (shouldn't make a difference, but maybe worth noting). It happened against AI, so cannot watch the game, but should be easy to reproduce.

Might be worth checking other cards with similar effects that should only trigger on opposing allies / heroes (e.g. Aura of Retribution, Sacred Fire Walker) to see if they happen with Rabid Bite (and Mind Control for that matter).

I think the most sensible fix is to just change sindarok to remove "opposing"

I don't see the bug even though I understand what you're saying.

When Rabid Bite is cast, then the previously friendly ally becomes an "opposing" ally for that one turn, hence attacking SA, and therefore eating the arcane damage.

...The more important question is WHY is SA still wearing his/her Halloween hat? It's the month of August. Geez.

Really?! I think "opposing" is defined as "controlled by the other player" i.e. on their side of the board. Further, other effects do not work in this way:
    - Rampage does not heal if you kill MC'ed ally
    - IGG does not trigger off MC'ed ally death (does it trigger of RB'ed ally death?)
    - Threbin's ability does not hurt MC'ed / RB'ed allies
    - Not sure what Platinum Chainmail does (i.e. does it give the bonus when your ally is MC / RB?)
    - Emore Crossbow doesn't trigger on friendly allies with RB / MC

    Gondorian! Help us!

... plus check behaviour for other cards (e.g. Sacred Fire Walker). Sindarok is not too late to change, but SFW is

    It is a bug yeah.

Fixed one recently with Sacred Fire Walker and Mind Control (http://dev.wulven.com:8080/browse/SE-854). This is the same thing pretty much.

    Thanks for reporting.

EDIT: OK, not that recently then, since new bug is SE-953. Someone has been busy fixing, I guess.

Did you check Aura of Retribution, which has a very similar mechanism (damage to opposing ally on combat)?

    Yes, that one was OK.
