INTRO:
Shadow allies versus human allies, an age long battle. But even within the two races there are tribes each with their own identity and ways.
These differences clashed and resulted in a war within a war. At first there was numerous undocumented scrimmages between the tribes, and both parties included in these scrimmages, claimed to be the victor. The pride of each tribe runs high, even outside of the Yari's. Noone liked to admit their defeat, and therefor noone could be rightfully chosen as the tribe above all the tribes. This needed to be settled, and what better way to do it than in an organized tournament hosted by Alpha Predator, where being the Alpha is a call to be answered!
PRESENTATION:
Tribal Warfare has one sole purpose, finding out which of the tribe is the strongest. Players could, from the tribes they supported, pick the most fierce warriors to take into battle against the others. A total of 32 fearless pilots signed up, and fought their way through a best of 3 series against eachother. Obviously there was no room for disloyalty, and once a tribe has been picked, you live together or die alone. Tribe-locked, single elimination, bloodthirsty. This was promising!
Out of the 32 players, the majority chose the holy path with the Templars(11). From the Shadow side, 8 Undead were picked. The remaining tribes were less popular, but certainly not the weakest! Ravagers(3), Homunculus(3), Yari(3), Twilight(2) and offcourse the hometeam Wulven(2).
SHORT SUMMARY:
After a random bracket toss on Challonge, 32 matches were planned to be played. Sadly, not every tribe had the confidence or the will to fight and did not show up for their matchups. 9 matches were canceled due to this selfishness. Obviously, when trying to find the best tribe, matches played between 2 players of the same tribe ended up in a beer tossing game in the local tavern(a total of 5). These couldn't be counted towards the end results posted below. Out of the remaining 18 matches the following results were gathered in process of determining the true tribe above all.
Templars: (w/l) 3-3 (Twilights, Homunculus, Undead were defeated.)
Undead: 6-7 (Templars(3), Twilight, Yari and Wulven were defeated)
Ravagers 5-0 (Undead(2) and Yari(3) were defeated)
Homunculus 0-1
Yari 3-4 (Undead(3) were defeated)
Twilights 0-2
Wulven 1-1 (Undead was defeated.
ENDRESULTS:
It was a long fought battle and many fought till the very last minute for the pride of their tribe. But there was only one left standing.
This is the final standing of the top 4;
1. Ravagers(TJ Segalion)
2. Undead(Vezuvan)
3. Ravager(BP LightningFury)
4. Yari(TJ SamuelJ)
SUMMARY:
Out of all the tribes, Ravagers came out the best for their tribes. Showing their diversity and ability to adapt to various heroes.
The Undead, came as a strong second, not only with their ability to adapt to various heroes but being able to swarm the battlefield.
The Templars, Wulven and Yaris ended up in the second tier of all the tribes because they have a limited pool of heroes they can really benefit from.
Twilights aswell as Homunculus could not secure any win for their tribes. The Beauty and The Beasts were sadly just a pot and a cup this tournament.
REHASH:
I would like to thank every player that stood up to represent their tribe the best they could and hope to see them again in the next Tribal Warfare to either defend or claim their throne above the others. This tournament was not only very entertaining, competitive and informative. But hopefully will inspire all the tribes to train harder, recruit new warriors in the next expansion or explore further tactics to grow as a tribe and put in to the test in the next edition. Who knows, there might be a zealous priest out there already praying for the strenght of conviction to bring the Templars further next time. Or will the Twilight suprise us with their magic.
Until next time,
AP Xavier
Alpha Predator
A special thanks to my editors(AP ariSe and AP Sappy) without them this wouldn't look or sound the way it does
