    Synchronicity and friendly steadfast allies

Should you be able to target friendly steadfast ally with Synchronicity, and thus removing target opposing ally while your steadfast ally remains? Since there is no usage of colon/semicolon in the text, I would assume that it would be an allowed move. At the moment, you can't even target friendly steadfast allies with Synchronicity.

    Hi.

The colon wording was not a standard back in Dark Prophecies (we only used it on Smoke Screen to avoid the kind of ugly wording that is used on Assassination, but we did not apply it to all cards). You are right that it would have been clearer to use the colon, since now we have ambiguity that then requires a ruling to clarify it ...

Here's the official ruling that matches the implementation:

This is because bouncing your own ally is the requirement to then target and return an opposing ally to the top of the opponent's deck. If your ally has steadfast you will be unable to use synchronicity because your ally wont get returned to your deck. If your ally isn't returned to your deck then the opposing ally can't be returned either.

    Hope that helps
    Cheers.
