i used this in a popup recently (came in second, lost the final to qazzaq playing an elementalis and could not draw a transmorg)

i have always loved fatty portal decks. one of my favorite types of decks. i always do well with them. the idea is to get fatties in the graveyard and then cast one and bring one back (not an uncommon gravebone strategy). i also like waiting to do this till i have 7se, then i can do it on back to back turns.

no crystal shard, i just prefer not to use it. and no supernova (i tend to avoid that card in gravebone deck building) or lightning strike. if you prefer, you can switch out the fireball for LS.

anyway, its a lot of fun and quite good the first turn plays are apparent (i hope, they are to me)

Dont u think portal in gravebone will hv a huge loss in tempo?

nope

its all about timing. you drop a portal the turn before you can pop a fatty out of the grave. then you can haste out a fatty to hit hard and pop a second into play. huge tempo change because you mostly took an ally out of your opponents with the hasted fatty and now you have two on board and they lost one so that was a 3 ally board change (or however you want to describe it). and the huge benefit you get from hasting out a scourge is another one.

is why i am using those big nasty unique allies but only at 2 apiece

he goes in a completely different Gravebone deck something about lightning, i think... maybe some thunder... maybe one i need to update...

Gravebone with bone sabre is. An awesome build as well.

different kind of deck though, this only has 6 undead allies and 4 of them are 2cc, not a lot of attack power in those 4
