How does SE fare these days?

Supposedly HS has > 30M active players.

I wonder what is the number of SE active players.

HS (nice game btw) has monster budget, PR and R&D so I'm curious how is SE faring these days?

Would like to see SE community thrive and expand of course

Well I seem to be able to get a game going at any time of the day. I think if they got onto steam they would blow up the population quite a bit but I'm not sure that it would be a good thing because it could cause sever problems on the server load with too many people trying it out.

I think it's been stable for the past couple of years at around 30 rated games per 4 minutes, 24 hours per day. We're currently split across 2.90 and 2.91, which affects things slightly, but the stats across both together is still around 30 per 4 minutes.

I think some of the missing art has turned some people off in the past, but as of 2.91, there's art on everything and it's looking pretty nicely balanced gameplay-wise.

Plus a set 4 (called Lost Lands) announced and hopefully coming soon, at least the first part of it.

Plus bunches of recent changes to make many parts of the game look nicer, has been a pretty good period recently.

I think there has definitely been a decline in which players are joining the game.. But thats just an assumption based on the fact that SE still is only at the 1 million downloads milestone in the play store lol (its been that way for the past 3 or 4 years atleast) and based on how the forums are so dry nowadays..

I think theres a strong possibility that SE 3.0 and set 4 will bring old players back, but this game will need a serious overhaul in graphic design and animations and such if it is to compete with HS and really bring in new players.. all of which is only my opinion of course

I do think the game is more fun than it used to be though.. Its come a long way for sure
