    Blast from the Distance Past (v1.24 Card List)

    Hey all,

    When I started playing the game back in April 2011, this was the card list:

    Which changes stick out in your mind as best/worst?

    PLEASE NOTE: All hero abilities and weapon/armor abilities cost shadow energy, even though they are not written like that - e.g. "4: Destroy target ally with cost 4 or less."on Boris actually cost 4SE.

    I think I started to play on 1.28 (the Eladwen/Logan patch).

    I never got to play with Aeon protecting Heroes or the permanent Mind Control. Those both look fun.

    You know all this stuff already. Things like protector blocking hero AND ally damage were OP.

    I didn't start playing until CotC with 20 heroes and 180 other cards in the set. It seemed fairly well balanced overall, though wulven had more toys than the others and Millstaller was annoying as hell....

    Best changes aside from no permanent Portal and MC? Well, adding Rogues, lol. And not making Victor's ability be "Does +1 damage with a bow" anymore.

    One change that I'd never known about was the 1.24 Surprise Attack having the effect of "Draw a card for each enemy ally in play". Would love to have gotten to play with that version of the card, lol.

    Guess that means I started in 1.28? I recall starting right before the set was filled out.

    i miss the gravebone + portal combo. i think it was a bug but it was awesome.

    Also, i miss the weapon hero effects of some heroes like Darkclaw, Gwenneth and Amber

    Funny how got rid of Jasmine's ability description that used to say "target ally is distracted and cannot attack...."

    There was a primitive honesty in that old description.
