I have experimented with amber and 1x clockworks soldier is a nice add in since ambers SE ability is cheap and you will have spare SE.

He is not a bad card in general, being harder to remove, but he costs 4, plus SE, and has no direct effect on the board. It is a very card-efficient ally, but not what this deck needs. With the exception of the Bladedancer, which costs 2, every single ally does something as soon as it is summoned. Playing this is a tempo loss unless you are getting your allies killed every time and struggling to finish the game with just weapons, and even then, there are better allies for resilience.

I can't justify removing anything for it, and can't justify going over the minimum deck size. So yes, for this specific deck, not what is needed.
