    # of cards in a deck

So ive seen a few of yalls decks posted and i was wondering for a human mage would it be better to have more or fewer cards in the deck i.e 30-40 or 50+ or is it just preference?

    40-41 is standard best thing.

Some people make amazing huge decks but that's a lot harder.

Really depends on the deck type. Certain decks can get away with a few more cards than 40 (which is the minimum for quick match by the way, can't have just 30 there) if they have the draw to support it, some decks almost require 50+ cards (if you've ever run into the type of deck known as "Millstalker" (completely solo stall endlessly style) you'll see more cards are needed there).

Generally though, you want to keep it close to the 40 card minimum for consistency reasons. For your human mage that you mention this is especially true if you use a rush strategy, as you don't want to clutter your deck with unnecessary cards that aren't going to help you win fast.

Whatever your numbers, the resource curve should be ideal. I'll recommend 40.

Someone has too many cards in their deck if the cards stacking up in beginning of game covers up the number showing how many cards they have.

Hah yeah several days ago I battled with someone who had around a 600 card deck. I was amazed they were able to draw Bazaar in tier 2. Unfortunately that deck slowed the server and gameplay was like those still shots from the Matrix.

About two years back I wrote a suggestion to the developers that would fix the lag caused by giant-tower decks:
They could simply NOT draw all those card-edges if the deck had more than 99 cards or whatever number seems reasonable. Put up a big solid graphic of a tower deck with a single card on top that indicates the deck is big.

    Lag: be gone!
