Opponent attaches Mark of the Fear to said ally.

Shimmercloak's +1/+1 triggers before Mark of the Feared +3/-3 and the ally does not die.

Hi,

There's no trigger. It's just two modifiers being applied in an ongoing fashion. So as soon as the MotF is attached, the ally has both +1/+1 and -3/-3, giving -2/-2 overall.
