Hearthstone vs Shadow Era (again)

I think Hearthstone is a fine game. It's simple enough for new players to get in and complicated enough to have quite a bit of play in higher level games.

It does lack some things I like in card games, mainly creature light Control and Combo archetypes but hopefully those will get sorted out once more cards are out.

Being simple is not really a bad thing, it means the game's main targets are casual CG players.

Hearthstone is as competitive as it gets. It has control, it has combo, it has counter play, etc. SE is unrelated to HS because of how they play. Just as it is to magic, and HEX. Even HEX is different from Magic, because of their mechanics. Doesn't matter if they are all card games. It's incredibly different for each game.
