    rogues vs mages

hi guys. I have been playing a lot with rogues lately but saw that mages are auto losses for rogues except poor little gravebone. You may tell me that i don't know how to counter them, you may be right. Just wanted to get your opinions about this topic. Also, yes rogues have nice utility cards but they seem to be not just that strong.

My 1st hero was Serena and I thought the class & hero was pretty underpowered. Switched to Warrior instead. Mages are quite strong imo. Their damage spells do quite a lot & have direct damage. You can make a deck entirely on spells which I see a lot of mages do.

The only weak point is their health is low.

Well auto win against my Gravebone idk I make rouges and hunters run for there money but, rouges are the clever class spell eater bands help a lot. It makes mages waste a whole turn to kill the one source that makes their main powers go garbage and the only sneer they really have are lln which is a 5 cc

Well, against Gravebone you do have hold onto your Assassinations, just in case of Dakrath, lol.

If your Serena with Cutlass you could always hope to steal some burn against other mages.

i disagree...a pure burn mage deck is easy pickings for many reasonably fast decks.

If you're having consistent problems with mages, you need to start paying attention to tempo. It's the first 15 damage that drops you into supernova/fireball range that kills you. If you can prevent the ally rush (playing an ally turn 2, using sword thief turn 3, etc). Then you'll have a chance. If you can get your opponent's health 5-10 below yours while you're above 15hp, you have a good chance of winning.

Anyone can get burned to death by a mage, but rogues have plenty to keep them far from an autoloss. Spelleater Bands to prevent damage...Honored Dead, Priest of the Light, and/or Crimson Vest to heal...Sword Thief, Layarian Seductress, and Spirit Shuriken to slow down the rush early on. With more practice and a well built deck, you will have some success vs mage (my 90 card Garth does very well vs mages, even rush mage)

Also, vs mage keep dropping allies and hold off on the tempo loss from IGG early, especially if you can drop a TO. Besides, rush mage many times uses BS for draw and will keep your hand full for you.
