So I was discussing concerns of mine about how some of the game mechanics work now and how I think they should work with GDC on Telegram earlier today, and eventually, it was brought up on how effects instantly kill allies (ie Tidal Wave, Yari Marksman, Boris) work.
Currently, they work by dealing enough damage to bring its health to zero. GDC said that he could change it making their health simply reduce down to 0, rather than take damage, when they are hit with an effect that kills allies directly, and said it also would not be a hard change to do as well. He also asked me to set up a poll to see what you all think of this.
The only ramifications of this would affect cards that prevent damage all together (Like Celestial Armor) or effects that trigger off of being dealt damage (Like Decoy Trap, Molten Destroyer, and Twisted Familiar). This will in result be a nerf to them, but most of those cards (Aside from Decoy Trap) are rarely used if ever. So the impact would probably be minimal.
