2.89 Kindle Auto-Update

Just a question for a friend of mine who I've recently introduced to the game (isn't on the forums, yet, lol).

He plays mostly on Kindle, and while the 2.89 is available for Kindle on the Play page here, it hasn't come for an auto update on his Kindle. He could download it directly from the play page link, but something about he didn't want to "root" the game on his Kindle to get 2.89, don't really know what that means, he's the tech guy and I don't have a Kindle, lol. Is there something with SE that just doesn't work with his auto update feature? Cause we haven't really been able to play each other for a while since on different versions.

Any assistance from Kyle or Gondorian or whoever would be appreciated, as he likes the game so far, has been learning well from when he first started under my probably terrible teaching, lol, but is always best if we can play each other, and obviously if he could ever get to trying some QM.

He doesn't have to root his device to do this. Just download the file and install. He may have to disable a security setting temporarily. It's not rooting the device though.

He just tried to install, gave him this error: "An existing package by same name with conflicting signature is already installed". Any ideas on that?

i already posted on this supject as well a while ago buddy with instructions on how to install the file download from the forum for the 2.89 update into kindle just look on my profile for my posted threads )

Ah, must've just missed that thread I guess. Either way, it's figured out now, so he can play, and future versions shouldn't be a problem.
