What do you do if a fellow player is belligerent and threatening in game chat?

I just finished a match where my opponent was cussing me out from the beginning of the match. Demanded I offer him a draw, and when I wouldn't, he quit. A few minutes later I got a threatening email from him. Not sure exactly how to handle the situation. I'm not afraid of him, It's just that I play games to escape drama, not to get dragged into it.

How did he email you? Unless you mean the in game message thing. Cause otherwise I think you've got bigger problems than just a threatening player.

Another thing in addition to what Deja Vu said, go to the menu, then options, then disable game chat. That way he can't keep sending things during the match. You can always just turn it back on again afterwards.

Good thing is that players like whoever that was are pretty rare in this game.

If you're referring to Blueblurr, then I doubt it. He would be abusive in game, but never sent anything after the fact (unless he got really drunk when playing).

I think he also stopped doing that anyway for the most part, haven't heard so many specific things about him recently.

It wasn't BlueBlurr. I don't really want to mention the name in public. there's no need to embarrass the guy.

I was referring to the in game message system. sorry for the confusion.

I did disable the chat after a couple of comments from him. That may be why he sent me a message.

Thanks to everyone for the advice. I really appreciate it. I've been playing this game less than a week, and you guys have made it much less overwhelming than it would have been otherwise.
