2.89 Force Closing Immediately Upon Opening

hi there,
I'm new to the forum, and have been playing for a couple of months or so.
I have the same problem since I've updated the game to 2.89 and eve with the 2.8911 version from your link, Kyle, I have the same problem: it suddenly close upon reaching the login screen.

Hi Danilo, please let me know what device you have and what OS version.

It was confirmed fixed on my HTC Desire 200, Android 4.0.3
Was always working on my Samsung Galaxy S2, Galaxy V, Asus Transformer TF101.
Please tell me I don't have to buy some Nexus devices as well

It turned out to be a bug with Google Play Services with a certain version that was updated on a bunch of phones, and affected a lot of apps. After purchasing a used phone that was showing up in the crash reports, I managed to find a workaround for this bug.

Please let me know if it is working for you now or not.

hello kyle just to let you know that this update is working for me i can play again on my tablet and phone, thanks for fix this very fast.

Update not working for me, still suffers from force close. Sony Xperia tablet Z2 On android 4.4.2. Tried reinstall of app aswell, still nothing. However the game can work perfectly for some time but then suddenly freeze. As you can guess this is very annoying while being in a QM. Anyways thanks for an awesome game

Hello!
First let me tell you that with all I read about the long delay in problem resolutions for this game, I am positively happy that this really look like it's looked into.
Unfortunately, it seems that the Nexus indeed still got problems. I upgraded to the 2.891 without any changes. Uninstalled, reinstalled, no change.
My device is a Nexus 5 too. Android is 5.0.1, systems tell me it is the latest version.

If there is any way I can test stuff for you before you go and grab a Nexus in a store just let me know. I'd need good how to since I don't know much in the domain yet I'd be happy to help.

Still having the same issue on my Nexus 7, Android version 5.0.2. Thanks for looking into this, guys; my hour breaks at school are full of tears without SE to occupy me...lol.
