But then you forget that rush mages have always been good, even before Amulet. You can go back to
Tainted Oracle and win games anyway.
Of course Amulet is better, but it was OP and the anti-mage meta that we have now, full of Baduruus and Banebows, comes from that.
As I said before, I think AoC should have been changed to be more useful for midrange/control mage (like
Nishaven and
Majiya, who are weaker and need help) and less playable for rush mages that are good anyway.
Actually I think that with
Dagger of Fate nerf Loest and
Eladwen will be more competitive: Aramia Shard Rush is just too fast for them and if you notice all
Loest and
Eladwen have disappeared in the last weeks because of this deck.
Aramia was killing all other mages and had to be stopped. You'll be able to play Twilight
Aramia, Fire
Aramia, Knught of Unaxio
Aramia, Wisp Aramia etc... she's the most flexible hero in the game and nobody will miss the Shard Rush build, but we'll have Loest and
Eladwen back.
As for
Zaladar I agree that he's been nerfed too much and Dagger had to be only removed from mage pool and not nerfed, but
Zaladar has always been tier 1, since CotC because he has probably the best ability in the game so it's not a tragedy if he goes down to tier 2 for some time. A lot of heroes have NEVER been tier 1, so why
Zaladar has the right to always be the best hero?
It's easy to buff
Zaladar, he has an amazing ability. Just add a couple good elemental cards in the next set and he will be fine.
