    sop vs gambit help!

Ive seen this asked here: http://www.shadowera.com/showthread....ower-VS-Gambit
Unfortunately that anwser was no help to me bc I don't understand it. Gambit removes 1hp. If a ally has 1hp then it should die unless something prevents it and Shards dose not prevent any type of damage.

    Heya,

It's important to remember that Hunter's Gambit does not deal damage. It is an attachment that applies a temporary health modifier for as long as it remains attached. So, if you have a 4 health ally in play and your opponent uses Gambit on it, that ally's health will be temporarily reduced to 3.

At this point, if a Shard of Power was in play it would now enforce its cap on 'maximum' health and reduce your ally to 1 health. That's the key, Shard of Power 'caps' health at 1 after all other modifiers have been calculated. To take this example further, if you were to now destroy Shard of Power, your ally's health would bounce back up to 3. If you destroy Gambit afterwards, your ally's health would go back to 4 where it started. But what if you destroyed Gambit first and then destroyed Shard of Power second? Naturally, you would want your ally's health to be at 4 when the shard goes away. That's why you have to continuously track health modifiers 'in the background' while Shard of Power has all your allies' maximum health capped at 1.

    Hope that helps!
