    Ricochet Trap Vs. Jewelers Dream

    Ricochet Trap
"Play face down. The next time your hero is attacked by an opposing hero or ally, the attack is canceled, and the attacker is disabled for 1 turn and takes X damage, where X is its attack value."

    Vs.

    Jewelers Dream
"When your hero attacks while Jeweler's Dream is in play, 2 used resources are renewed."

Jewelers Dream ability triggers when its attack has been canceled by the effect of Ricochet Trap.

Hi. JD is responding to the attack before the trap due to Standard Resolution Order. There is no current rule stating that traps are always the first thing to respond.

As such, it is wrong of us to say "canceled", since that does seem to imply the attack never even started, as Mojumbo has stated way back when he made that ruling, yet the intention of the trap was actually not to rewind time and cancel anything else that triggered but simply to end the attack there. So it should instead say "aborted", meaning this is a wording bug and not a coding bug.
