    Mind Control

    What do you think of mind control? In my opinion is a OP card and needs to be nerf. You can compare with any insta-kill of the game that will see the superiority of the card. Examples:
    *
    Assassination: costs 3 resources (2 less than mind control) but has two drawbacks: need a ready ally and that ally is exhausted after using it; and has no bonus plus.

    assassination:
    Cost: 3
    Positive Points: 0
    Negatives: 2

    Transmogrification Curse: costs 4 resources (1 less than mind control) but has one drawback: you lose 1 of shadow energy; and has 2 positive points that hardly helps: turns the ally on an item (this hardly makes a difference), and does not put the ally in the cemetery (this hardly makes a difference). We consider these two positive points as if they were one.

    Transmogrification Curse:
    Cost: 4
    Positive Points: 1
    Negatives: 1

    /////Mind Control/////

    Costs 5 resources and has no drawbacks, and has two great strengths: because on average 3-4 damage on the enemy hero, and still takes 1 Weapon durability and enemy armor.

    Mind Control:
    Cost: 5
    Positive Points: 2
    Negatives: 0

    /////Comparing the cards/////

    Mind Control:
    Cost: 5
    Positive Points: 2
    Negatives: 0

    Transmogrification Curse:
    Cost: 4
    Positive Points: 1
    Negatives: 1

    assassination:
    Cost: 3
    Positive Points: 0
    Negatives: 2

    Mind Control with Transmogrification Curse: costs 1 more resource, has one negative point less and 1 point more positive.

    Mind Control with Assassination: costs 2 more resource, has 2 points less negative and 2 positive points higher.


    I think this must be nerf like costing 1 resource more or something...

    I want to know what your opinion about this card.

    you forgot the negetive to Mind Control
    If your opponent play only Kris/Firesnake/Rotling/Frostmore/ etc` then you waste 5cc to kill 1cc/2cc ally and do 1 damage to opponent
    In the beginning the Universe was created.
    This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.

    this is included in "average 3-4 damage" that i mentioned. The same way it can be used in a 6cc or 5cc ally and deal 5 damage for example

    This thread is about 4 years late...MC won't be changing any time soon. So get used to it and start working on your counters, it really isn't hard. If you play a deck that is completely focused on putting out fatties, then you can expect MC to be a hard counter. If you play a more balanced deck, then you just need to learn to play around it.

    You are pretty much snap dead if you need to play Mind Controls when behind.

    It's a fine piece of removal, sure, but it's not that great until the allies it kills are 4cc+. It's not invaluable and as better cards are printed, it's probably one of the first cards getting cut from Elemental decks.

    It's tough to beat if you have a lot of 4cc+ allies in your deck but there aren't that many you should be thinking about when building decks.

    Ya it's a card that won't solve a board flood if you have to play it to catch up that's a negitive as well it's a control card not everything is perfect or op and you will only have four in a deck so now you have to draw it, so op still?

    But as for Mind Control, it's way not OP. Yeah it sucks if you just put out your big high cost ally and your opponent MCs it, but it's really sub-optimal if they are forced to use it on a lower cost ally. It's just not cost effective if you have to use it on like a 3cc ally. Back in DP days I played a lot of Boris and used Yari Spearman as a Protector, and they have to target that, and if I only have 1 out they are spending 5cc to kill something that only took me 3cc to summon and deal me only 1 damage. But even if it's a higher attack 3cc ally, that 5cc is very unnaffective cost-wise compared to the cost I spent to summon the ally, and in earlier turns that 5cc will be your entire turn.

    So yeah it's strong at the right time, but not OP.

    Mind Control is the best spot removal in the game, but it costs 5 resources which is probably the highest cost among removal cards. Usually you can play around it and limit its efficiency.
    It's a card that wins games, but it needs particular conditions to be 100% effective, so you can't call it OP.

    However, even if it happened to be the most OP card ever created in Shadow Era, it can't be changed because Call of the Crystals has already been released and printed. Wulven policy is to NOT change any printed card, so there are 0% chances to see it changed.
