Well, I do think 4pm would work better for players in GMT+8 than 8pm.
Why not let 16 players vote?

That was earlier in the day only because I was conscious of otherwise eating into Monday for GMT+8 and higher.

I figured 8pm GMT is the best we can get because that's just early morning for some (sleep before it) or late for others (stay up to finish it). What I didn't want was it starting at midnight for someone and going into say 5am their time. I know that happened with the Wildcard for some on the weekend, but later would have meant that it would certainly count some people out who would be at work for Day 2.

2pm GMT would be pretty rough for anyone on GMT+8 and GMT+9 IMHO.

Whatever time was picked, I thought it was right to announce early enough to give people warning and stick to that time. So 8pm GMT it is. See you there!
