Reactorary/Tanacious Buccaneer

I'm curious.
When Reactorary/Tenacious Buccaneer are discarded, should other cards, that are able, such as Harbinger of the Lost and Aetherborn Wisp, actually benefit from them being discarded since the wording of their abilities state that they 'enter play instead (of being discarded)'?

Or are they working as intended and their wording should be changed to something more similar to the wording on Prismatic Field?

Hi. They are working as intended but the wording should maybe say "enter play instead of being placed in the graveyard".
