coercion exhausted ally

Opponent used coercion on my ally attacked with it. Next turn my ally returned to me but was exhausted is this the correct function of the card?

Hi. Yes it is. Your allies get readied at the end of your turn. The very end. A Coerced ally that gets exhausted by opponent will be returned to you before your opponent readies it like one of his own. The next chance for the ally to be readied is at the end of your next turn. Hope that helps.
