The tourney is decklock indeed and match-lock too since human faces opp's human and shadow faces opp's shadow. But nevertheless some clues are given with unveil of Heroes. If this doesnt happen then indeed people with the time-intention to spy get a bonus that has nothing to do with actual play-skills. But i saw the TO's post so i guess there is nothing to do about it..

You can't change your decklist anyway, so what's the point? Knowing the opposing hero before the game or at the start of the game doesn't change anything.
Knowing the decklist would be an help, so scouting opposing decks is actually useful, BUT this is not what you're asking for... so what's the point?

This is exactly my point actually. It doesnt change anything playwise amd whoever wants to scout for decklist can do that anyway and get the profit. So why not announce Heroes and help with side things like stats and chat around Hero choices?
