They took his land. He wants it back. (Alternatively: His love for you is like a truck.)
A spin on an uncontrollable aggressive guy. Because he attacks the hero automatically, 1) he might splat himself on a weapon (oops) and 2) he's not going to be using his high ATK to kill opposing allies.
