Layerian Diplomat required to stay in play?

    Hello,

I need some clarification on Diplomat. Does his ability fizzle if he is killed or exiled? I played him into a snare trap and targeted a viska however her damage reduction remained.

I remember some discussion with respect to him and morbid alcolyte that their effects might be cancelled by killing or exiling. Unfortunately, my foggy memory does not recall the results of those discussions.

Yes, they need to be in play for their effect to continue.

The only ongoing effects that "stick" (beyond life of their source) are negative effects, where negative effect is defined in the rulebook.
