I have 2.86 in my PC and 2.87 in my tablet so I can play both versions.
I think it's best to stick with 2.86 for the tournament to avoid problems.
Maybe someone can upload 2.86 apk and PC installer for those who have updated.
iOS is more problematic but I don't think they have the update yet so they should be careful not to update.

I suppose it's OK to play on the latest version if BOTH participants agree on that. Otherwise, you should play on 2.86 by default.
