forgiveness bug, nothing to do with resources

I am having issues with my 3rd and 4th casting of this spell netting me a card, my resources stay the same as expected and i gain a shadow energy, but for some reason I'm not drawing the card.

This happened to me at least 3 or 4 times yesterday (every time i played the 3rd+)

3rd one gets nothing if you played one on turn 2. This is because t2 Forgiveness creates a resource token card at 2nd place from the bottom.

It is controversial because Forgiveness says "bottom card" when it is actually not a card, therefore it's not a valid target to bring back. But this is how it's implemented.

you think they'll ever change this? kinda sucks i dont wanna throw off my tempo by playing turn 3 forgiveness, guess i could wait till much later but then its a dead card

you're looking at forgiveness as an early game SE boost card. It's really not that, it's a mid-late game; play when I've got nothing else to play/want the card I resourced, card. You strategically resource cards that you aren't going to want until T8 or later, that way it all works out well. You also can change the way you play it depending on how many copies you have in your deck. If you've only got 2 copies, then go ahead and play it on T2. If you've got 4 copies then plan on not playing any until T5 or later. In fact you may want to resource one (resource it on T3, so you get it from your last forgiveness, and can use it to pull your last card/surprise the opponent with 2 SE. It is a solid card and rewards strategic thought..you can't just play it mindlessly like a puwen/aldon combo and expect a spectacular result.

i just like playing it turn 2 if i have it as my other 2 drops are lacking ~ just kinda sucks, most of the time i do store a flood or a staff if im planning on dropping it early i just sac something i plan on playing soon

That's a bad way to play it I run it because my Threbin controls a late game if you play it t2 it's just a token and you'll get nothing on the next one becAsue now that cards on bottom of deck it's good for SE but it's really a trick card and alternate draw trust me I know what I'm talkin about others can vouch it's a great card just use it later when you need the card you intentionally sacced and a card that goes good with forgiveness is glass chalice of knowing

oooh just thought of another use for forgiveness - counterplay against Serena. You can hide cards from her in your resource pile. She may still steal your forgivenesses, but she won't be able to steal your tidal wave / king's pride

you won't but at least she won't have stolen your Tidal Wave
