I've been told once every hour I should be playing. It's quite annoying... others who aren't as tolerant of push notifications may have uninstalled the game or one star it.

I chose Elementalis in Energy Extraction for a couple of reasons, one is he looks cold and emotionless and I felt it suited the idea of treating your allies as nothing more than fuel, and secondly it's a nod to his old "2SE, Sacrifice an Ally: Gain 5 life" ability (loved that ability).

I was actually going to ask if it was a reference to the old ability. Guess I got my answer.

Yes, it is annoying. But you could use Greenify to hibernate such activities of apps not running in the foreground. You put SE on the list, and when SE isn't actively running, all processes and services will get hibernated automatically. Very recommended app, especially for such things and to save battery and memory
