The "best" tournament flow depends on how many people participate. Round Robin can be lengthy if a lot of people but is ideal for when something like 4 people play. Double elimination could work for a low-ish turn out with too many to RR. Ideally, if enough people of play you play X rounds of swiss cut to top for single elimination.

Best of 3 if pairing is easy, though trying to reliably pair with no real pairing system can be a pain in the ass.

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek.

    Count me in!
My vote is double elimination for tournament style, hopefully won't have so many entries that it has to be single elimination

My vote goes on wait and see how many people end up playing before determining the structure of the tournament. Double elimination might not be feasible.

    More info added to OP.

tournament would not play efficiently unless 1.26v is up.

unless the dev team helps you sets up a tournament you never know asking never hurt :P

While not efficient, it's doable. We've tried once already and getting the right matchups wasn't an issue, the issues all came from bugs in game.

Single and double elimination aren't necessarily the best set ups. Depending on how many people end up playing swiss might actually be the best as it allows X-2 records to do well after losing the first two games. Round Robin>single/double elimination if too few show up since it gives more opportunities to play. There is no "optimal always" tournament set up.

Thanks for your triple post worthy enthusiasm though.
