PB, we're gonna have to limit ourselves--just one paragraph, remember?

Also, for clarification, if we pick a generic Human or Shadow ally, should we decide on a single class's card pool? Class-specific allies make perfect sense, but is there any restriction on, say, Shadow Knight? In theory, without the hero class factored in, we could get all kinds of evil MD-inspired combos going.

I don't think it makes much sense to have SK using Mage abilities, but hey, he's able to played right alongside them, right? Still, it would be nice for an official idea of how you expect this to work.

I had the same questions about card pool. Can we mix and match? Like I had an idea for traitor humans who just defected to the shadow, and a couple other really unusual ones.

Damn you PB! I had the same scenario but with different cards. I'll post it anyway. :P

I'm a wordy bird But yeah, that could be trimmed down easily, I was more setting a scene based on it's place in the campaign.

A distressed old man stops the player asking for assistance as cracks of lightning and animal roars tries to drown out his voice. He narrates how Priests of the Light have attacked the Sanctuary serving as the home for various endangered beasts believing that they were being wrongfully held captive. In order for the player to get past, he/she will first have to tame the beasts and get rid of the priests.

I have some questions before posting anything.
Let's say I choose an Ally with 2 attack and 25 health for my hero, like gary. If I want to add a weapon to the card deck with 1 attack, which of the 2 will apply for the total damage? The vial options in this format is either adding the attack of the hero and the given weapon or having weapon damage priority till the durability runs out. Or there is something that I'm missing here.
Also, will the game always start the same way, meaning with 0 resources and 6-7 cards on first turn? I think it would be interesting to see some games changing from turn 1, eg having more resources but lower health ( adding some lore about the given hero being injured ) or having certain cards already on the field like armor of ages to spice things up.

It's great to see you all having fun with this!

These are some great questions. I'll put the answers here but also update the first post as we go along, so that all the info is in one place to review.

    Q. So what happens with allies with passives?
    A. If it’s passive it still works the same on the AI hero as it did as an ally.

    Q. What about on summon abilities on the AI hero, like Shadow Knight for example?
    A. He’s a Hero and begins on the board, therefore his ability will never be triggered.

    Q. I'm not sure how the combination of hero attack power + item power works.
    A. They get added together but the weapon durability is used.

    Q. Can I add deck building restrictions?
    A. You can not have deck building restrictions for the player. However, the AI deck does not have restrictions. You can have more than four of the same card and you can ignore class restrictions, if you want. eg. You can add ten Firesnakes fighting for Dirk!

    Q. Will the game always start the same way, meaning with 0 resources and 6-7 cards on first turn?
    A. Yes, for these missions.

    You can!

But most likely that isn't the one we'd pick to put in the game!
