    What's your streaming/youtube set-up?

    Hey, folks!

If you stream on twitch (or elsewhere?) or make YouTube videos for Shadow Era, what's your set-up?

    Are you Windows/Mac/other?

What programs do you use to record/edit/publish?

What equipment do you use, if any?

(I've not made a poll because I'm hoping this is could be a useful reference thread.)

    Thanks!

For recording on youtube, I tend to use fraps.
For streaming on twitch, I've used both Xsplit and OBS.

For screen-caps on Mac - Quicktime is super easy to make captures, for any film editing I do I use Blender but iMovie is more approachable for some

Also for video format conversion - Handbrake
    For artwork - Gimp

Blender is an open source software so it doesn't cost anything. Unless I'm thinking of a different blender, which I might be bc the blender I'm referring to is a graphics program that is just too complex for an SE video. Meant for 3D animations and game development.

Actually... and this is really odd - but you can turn Blender into a video editor... while intended for 3d artwork & animations, its toolset does allow for fairly flexible tweaking. That said, I've never tried that method myself, so your mileage may vary, though now I'm curious to try it to see what I could do with it.

Yep free and easy enough to use as a video editor once you get past the learning curve, allows easy multi-track video and audio - once you set it up as an editor you just save the setup as a .blend file so you can instantly open that file to get a blank layout in editor mode ready to go. Good open souce app and lot of info and help for it online, and yes a 3d app as well that I have seen some very cool stuff come out of.

    I use the same.

In the past I have tried X-Split for Twitch.
