Welcome to the Weekly edition of “Warriors of the Blue Phoenix’s Challenge”

BP will bring every week a pop up to entertain all players in SE.
Simple rules that will change week to week (also the TO will change).
The best way to get crystals and test your skills!
We’ll be using, as always, the IRC channel #tournament.

RULES

Each player choose 1 Human Hero and 1 Shadow Hero.
Winner of the Round MUST USE BOTH HEROES. Heroes Lock for WHOLE TOURNAMENT.

1. You can change cards between rounds but not the heroes. Deck Size CAN change.
2. Best of 3 for all rounds, random start in game 1 and 3.
3. Draws or sync errors are treated the same: Replay.
4. If a player is disconnected during a game, the victory goes to the other player unless both players agree to replay or a player concedes.
5. Prizes will be halved if there are only 8-15 people. No. of Participants limited to 16-players max. First to register gets priority.
6. Match results must be reported in #tournament on the IRC.
7. All players must be on IRC 10 minutes before the tournament begins.
8. If there are players who get a BYE, they need to send a PM with their Hero choices to the TO on IRC before round 1 starts if not you risk a DQ. (Disqualification)
9. And OFC No Mill Decks Deck must be at most 55 cards in size and contain at least 12 allies if Moonstalker, Praxix, Victor, Zaladar, Banebow is played.

If there is a bug in the game, the game must be restarted unless both player agree to continue. Repeating bugs for the 3rd time will result in a lost for the player which the bug originated from.

For Challonge purpose, seeding will be according to alphabetical order of SE Forum Name and using Traditional Seeding

Info: Traditional Seeding Rules: Top seeds are paired with lower seeds in the first round, preventing better players from meeting until later rounds.

e.g. 1v8, 4v5, 2v7, 3v6

I have a question. If I choosed, for example, Amber and Banebow, and I played Amber in 1st game. Do I have to play Banebow in 2nd game? Can I still play Amber in 2nd game and only have to play Banebow in 3rd game if there was a tie?

I asked this b4, even if you lose the first game you have to play other hero in game 2. The rules should be rewritten because if you lose game one, in order to win you would have to play a 3rd game, but no.

If you win first game with Amber, you can choose to play Amber again, but if you win again with Amber, its not counted.

This is why I added this rule, to add a sense of anticipation and slight teching, adding spice to the games involved.

In this case, loser will have slight advantage because you know what hero the opponent will use on the next game (except Round 1 of course), and you can make slight changes to the deck.
