    Io Void Leviathan Revamped

I'd like to share some thought on that forgotten card. I'll post a core concept for you to build around focusing on Leviathan and we'll explore some benefits just after.

    Here it goes:
    4 Io Void Leviathan
    4 Voracious Arachnid
    3(4) Aldmor Conduit
    3(4) Bloodthirsty

The concept is to take advantage of the use of shadow energy to fortify the Leviathan and the introduction of Arachnid makes it a much bigger threat now at SF.

    Different hero choices:
You will prefer heroes with fast access to SE usage, like Banebow, Moonstalker, Vess and Raikka. Then each will pack a bunch of extras to help improve the aforementioned mechanic.

    Moonstalker:
Think of the cheap killers like death from above and now you're mine to pump your Arachnid and then it will help Leviathan. The hero's ability is perfect for that t5 drop plus two consecutive stealth and boost. Don't forget to use Groom's Whip to make the Leviathan even bigger because then there's no actual drawback: it gets +2 att +1 from SE and don't lose 1 hp.

    Banebow:
For quick killability don't forget the traps and Hunter's Gambit. The weapon of choice is Spirit Shuriken.

    Raikka and Majiya:
Plenty of options like Wrath of Summer, Urigons Fang, Flameforged Sceptre (really good one) and perhaps Loest Burden. And mages have SOB that can fuel SE as needed.

From here you should fill the rest with your preferred cards. Don't forget your draw engine, anti material and some items of your own and you are good to go.

    Enjoy!

I run a semi competitive Skervox build that utilises his board clear to make room for Io Void and Shuriken for further buffing and clearing.
Secondly I created a GB build with a discard theme that utilises Dagger of Fate and Living Armor (free SE) to buff.

Io is one of my favourite allies <3 rather than Spirit Shuriken (I find people don't often have 3 allies on board and even when they do as soon as you use Shuriken you know they'll never have 3 in play again!) I much prefer Wand of Izikius it only costs 1SE to use and you can boost Io while converting items into allies to take the heat off of Io

    Arachnid's great as a T3, T4 Cobra Demon I suggest before T5 Io

I also use Io in 2 "please damage me" decks:

Warrior: E. Ascendant, Plate Armour, Grimjaw Hydra, Io
Wulven: E. Ascendant, Gromm's Whip, GH and Io - this is truly terrifying, Whipping Hydra gives him +4 attack while boosting Io!!!!! BONUS Use 1 and 2cc allies with the above along with Ascendant of the Horde - 0 damage from Gromm's Whip!

Other cards in above decks are B. Marauder and B. Altar

I would be interested in a Boomerang Io Void Leviathan combo.

...i am in no way being disrespectful here, but i really need to ask u this one - wouldnt it just suck to put so much effort into building a deck around Io Void, then more effort to actually pump him in game, only to see him smashing your own face cuz ur facin Zaladar?

It does suck, but insta kills will always be a part of the game. You can just try to make the best of it by f.e. baiting the opp control cards and using stone skin.

good one Karlos, i wouldn't b so much worried about the insta-kill part as i am concerned about my own Io Void pumped up to (say) 6-7 attack hitting me in the face )))

Since you probably have arachnid out, the opponent will have to choose one of them to mind control.
