Banebow vs Battle Hardened

When Banebow uses his ability on an opposing ally while your opponent has Battle Hardened, the ally only takes 1 damage even though Banebow's ability ignores ally and armor abilities. Sounds like a bug to me?

I thought armor ability meant any kind of damage reduction

No it has to be armor. I believe only examples as of now are Spelleater bands and Legion United. Attachments and support abilities do prevent BBs damage.
