Glowing rainbow card appearing out of nowhere?

Hum... I looked a bit to see if there wasn't an answer elsewhere but I couldn't find it.

I was wondering... what are those strange cards with brighter colours than usual that I see in people's deck now and then.
Yesterday I wanted to reorganise my deck and when I cleared it I got one of those card appearing in my stock...
Are those cards special? Apparently I can't sell them.

Hi. They are foils. You can't buy or sell them at the moment, only get them in booster packs.

And what's its purpose? Just an alternative to normal cards?

There's no real point. It just puts the "mium" in "Freemium", so people can bling things up if they want, but it doesn't affect gameplay at all.

Foils! They look cool. At least the DP and CotC ones do. SF foils will prolly look the same after the art is released

And yeah you only get them in boosters.

I guess it can look cool if the whole deck is foiled... but rather lame with just a single foil.

Lol, nerull7! I suppose it can be a strategy on its own... influencing the opponents choices by showing him shiny cards to hit!
We should call that the Toreador strategy.
