Question Help with Gravebone Undead deck

    Hello!

I have seen some semi-effective Gravebone Undead decks out there. Some questions:

    1) Is this ever going to be top tier? It feels good, but not really excellent to me...
    2) Is there a better hero for this deck?
    3) What cards do i need to cut from the below (currently 51 cards) to get down to 40-42?

    1x Gravebone

    3x Death Collector
    4x Harbinger of the Lost
    3x Cryptspawn Tormentor
    3x Corpse Hurler
    2x Dakrath
    3x Death Mage Thaddeus
    3x Shadow Knight

    2x Tome of Knowledge
    4x Tombstone Beacon
4x Charred Cowl of the Damned
    4x Bone Sabre

    4x Grave Resistance
    3x Transmogrification curse
    4x Fireball
    4x Lightning Strike

    Hello!

From my point if view I see many decks running some form of graveyard-control. Many shadow-decks include Death Collector or humans play Spirit Warden. This weakens GB a lot. On the other hand there are many decks who revolve around discarding and play allies like Harbringer, which helps your GB a lot. GB is pretty much a quite slow and lategame-oriented hero. If you make it there, your chances are rising. But with all the hasted allies in the current meta you desperatly need early control. Maybe try cheap control cards like Consuming Fear. You should drop at least 3 Sabres as well as the Cowls. Yes they are nice, but soo expensive and easily destroyed by most heroes. You should add Supernova to stop ally rushes and get crippled allies to the yard again. Sun-blighted ones add speed to your deck and hunger for a Sacrifical Lamb.

    Best regards!

    Solid tier 2.

You don't need 4 armors, 2 at most.

If you plan to control board with bone Saber and allies you don't need so much burn. Also you need some attachment removal because clipping blow can render Saber useless. More ways to discard fatties on t4 can help as well, like cultists as it provides draw as well.

If you are looking for competitive undead deck Banebow is better choice imo.

Yes; interesting. I think Undead Gravebone is trying to do too much - if i try and get both the discard / revive effects going, it clashes with the undead theme and combos.

Banebow might be better, and then i don't need to bother with the whole discard / reviving thing. What would that look like i wonder?

ok; here's what Banebow Undead might look like. 43 cards, but no item destruction / attachment removal.

Sac Lamb / decoy trap should help with Dakrath-killers / disablers (MC, CB etc)
Cowl and Bone Sabre add some punch
    Gambit for damage and draw
Perfect shot to deal with fatties / armoured ones (AS, FW, Garg)

What 3 cards should i take out?

    1x Banebow
    3x Death Collector
    4x Harbinger of the Lost
    3x Cryptspawn Tormentor
    2x Dakrath
    3x DMT
    3x Shadow Knight

    4x Tombstone beacon
    3x decoy trap
    3x death trap
    2x cowl of the damned
    2x Bone sabre
    2x soul seeker

    4x hunters gambit
    2x perfect shot
    2x sacrificial lamb

Dakrath is too expensive for BB, you would be better with Derkan or Corpse Hurler. Same goes with cowl of the damned. And I don't like personally death trap. I would add grave resistance and trim down deck to 40 cards. Maybe keep only armor. You won't get many chances to play it.

Yeah; i forgot Grave Resistance. I think you're right on the traps.

I think there are two options with Dakrath:
    1) Keep him, and the Cowl (both 7cc, so might as well have both if you're going to sac to 7). This would benefit from decoy traps as well.
    2) Don't bother, and lose the cowl as well in favour of Derkan

I'm in favour of testing with option 1 first (41 cards):

    1x Banebow
    4x Death Collector
    4x Harbinger of the Lost
    3x Cryptspawn Tormentor
    2x shadow knight
    2x Dakrath
    3x DMT

    2x cowl of damned
    3x Tombstone beacon
    2x Bone sabre
    2x soul seeker

    2x sac lamb
    4x hunters gambit
    3x Grave resistance
    2x perfect shot
    2x Shriek of vengeance

    Option 2 (41 cards)
    1x Banebow
    4x Death Collector
    4x Harbinger of the Lost
    3x Cryptspawn Tormentor
    2x shadow knight
    2x Derkan
    3x DMT

3x some sort of trap? Some thing else?
    3x Tombstone beacon
    3x soul seeker

    2x sac lamb
    4x hunters gambit
    3x Grave resistance
    2x perfect shot
    2x Shriek of vengeance

Hi I know it is an old thread but I have a way around the Dakrath and Infernus cost. If you use Sacrificial Lamb or Falseblood cultist and sacrifice one of the cards at turn 1 -3 you can use Gravebone's ability to put either one on the board by turn 4.
