Question Who to choose for a Shadow Mage deck?

    Not gonna pick Gravebone.

Majiya or Raikka? I've loved Majiya since forever, but the new girl is pretty, uh... hot. I've tested the latter for a few games now, and she seems to work pretty decently. Her shadow ability is an amazing trading tool, especially with allies such as Ironhide Karash and Infernal Gargoyle available for cheap. It also functions as a defensive buffer to just reduce the attack of opposing allies if you have to buy some time.

On the other hand, Majiya can just blast for 3 and draw a card (oh my darling, why did this happen), which is always good, and it doesn't require having allies on the board.

I'll refrain from posting a deck list right now since I haven't added all the cards I want yet (unless requested), but just wanted to know what people think about the two. What are some cards that work well with them, etc.

On another note, is Sacrifical Lamb worth getting? I always groan when my Gargoyles get met by Consuming Fear and Crippling Blow, so I think it might be good to pick up some cards for my useless ally.

I'd go with Raikka if you want a bit of a challenge, otherwise go with Majiya since she's consistently good.

yeah but he doesnt have all the cards yet, so using maj would be eaiser and more competitive and allow him to earn the rest of the cards more easily

Majiya definitely seems to be much more reliable (she always was), but Raikka's shadow ability is really interesting. Might be good with Flameborn Defiler and Infernus, Tyrant of the Damned. Lay down some early allies, then bring in either of those and activate Raikka's ability on the same turn. Mmmm. Well, that's best case scenario. Probably won't be that smooth all the time.

I'll try to get a couple of Sacrificial Lambs, at least. And maybe some Consuming Fears.

Are any of the Mage allies worth getting? Sun-Blighted One seems okay, as does Thunderstone Golem. The latter would require the addition of some electrical damage cards, and there aren't too many of those, are there... Too bad Majiya deals fire damage instead of electrical. Oh well.

Evolving Abomination is a good card with the proper support. Phoenix Urigon is pretty damn good in any mage deck.

Flameborn defiler works great with furrion terror as well, i think majiya and GB would be the safer picks, if your going to play Raikka i suggest you first buy at least 3 Grimhast, he is probably the best allie she can have
