Eladwen: new player's first online deck

Well I started playing th game early today, and I have just finished my first few online games. My first post will be a deck list, because that's how I roll .

So far I won or drew my first four games (only came close to losing in the last game against a wolf hero who used only equips and stalls to try and eat my hero alive :/, ended the game for both of us with a supernova). I know this deck is suboptimal (I ran out of gold I got from selling 2 crystal starters), so what I would like in terms of feedback is which cards should I get FIRST (aka what is my buy order for better cards)? Thanks for any advice!

I'm due a level soon which will bring me to 100 shadow crystals again, so more gold after selling a crystal starter. I'm guessing I'll have about 2000 total gold to spend on upgrades.

There are so many ways of playing this game. Playing Mages may not be what most fascinates you. So you should know what's there first, and let us know what you wanna do. Then we can give you better advice!

You can watch games by clicking either [playing] or [finished] button on the challenge screen. You can search by players names, including your own name, to watch replays of the player.

get to 4 tome of knowledge and stop using blake, lose sandra. since it looks like you are blitzing the shit out of yoru opponent you can use another supernova or 2 i guess and also since you are blitzing so fast you can run bad santa but its a little difficult to use it correctly

Drop Kris since you're already using Portal, and drop Sandra cuz she's just NOT a good card.

+2 Tome of Knowledge
+1 or 2 Supernova
+Whatever number of Bad Santa you feel like putting in

~is my suggestion, and if you LIKE using Portal and you LIKE Blake, just keep 'em in.
You can drop both of them once you don't feel the need to really keep them in, but I'd say get as much experience as you can with all the cards
You might realize later that Blake dies too quickly, though. Eleanor would ideally be better if you're rushing your opponent.

-yeah I know sandra isn't good, she is definitely on the hit list (i want more proests of the light/tainted oracles). Maybe -2 sandra, +2 tainted oracle?
-I'm enjoying the supernovas, if I get more tainted oracles maybe I'll +1
-I'm not sure yet if I like the portals or not
-I don't like bad santa tbh, it is apparently reccomended with this type of deck but I just don't feel I need or want it.
-regadring blake vs eleanor, I'm not a huge fan of blake but eleanor just seems too conflicting to me. If I have 2 allies out allready why would I be dropping a cost 2 when I'm allready at 2-3 mana.
-not liking aron stormcaller either. Might drop.


Regarding tome of knowledge, sometimes I feel I get it too often even at 2. Is 4 really a good idea? Thanks.
P.s what do you think of the curve in the deck, should I replace sandra with oracles or priests of the light?

Ok my one loss so far was vs moonstalker, he really is a hard matchup. I added considerable more draw to my deck so I stand a chance vs him by drawing into portals/direct damage spells.

For draw I'd suggest putting a couple of Bazaar cards in there. Once you've played it you can forget about it for the rest of the match and it only costs 2 resources to play, meaning no more resources get spent on drawing cards. So my advice would be to swap out tome of knowledge for it. Maybe consider getting a set of control cards in there like rain delay, clinging web, or freezing grip just in case you end up having a hard time against your opponents allies. Rain delay is nice and gives you an extra turn to deal with the enemies while they can't do anything, so it's good in a pinch. Seems like a good solid deck otherwise!

Eleanor is actually a starting game card, and combined with an aldon, this makes

turn 2 - Eleanor (Do not summon it if an opposing ally exists)
turn 3 - Aldon (Makes Eleanor's attack 4, unattackable until Aldon dies)

That's the stuff.

Anyways, that's just a personal suggestion, cuz it IS a rush ally. Even if it's not aldon, any ally will do for a 3/1 and unattackble ally for 2CC (which is pretty cheap, and better than Blake cuz u have the unattackable effect.)

Thanks for the advice, sorry I ignored this for a while still changing the deck every few games so no point reposting all the time. I went with fatebreak familiar as an alternative to blake. Current deck is:

Considering adding another jasmine rosecult by taking away an aldun or an oracle (probably aldun because I have a lot of uniques, don't want them clogging my hand).
