Okay, so i played the ever living hell out of core game. Helped fund this game quite a bit if you know what I mean

Some friends and I went pretty hard for a while and I have several cards in collection AND sittin' pretty on about 38K gold. However, I totally have not played since core game, though. However i just dropped a bit on some packs of Prophecies and Fates cards and going to pour through the new stuff.

Hows the meta these days? What's dominating a little more than the rest. More aggressive stuff these days or more controlly types? I always preferred Mage and Warrior myself but stoked to see what's all new. Looks like quite a bit

Welcome back! I'd be overwhelmed by the cards if I had taken a break since CotC, though I suppose since you are coming back with new eyes you won't be corrupted by seeing the meta as it has evolved and might come up with a new vision as to what is possible. As mentioned you will meet Aramia. There are some new dynamics - I have no idea what to consider Praxis, it's like having a slot machine for a hero. Then there is stuff like Arcane/Templar Threbin which is presently my new favorite hero. Great time to come back though, just before the cards from the next expansion start coming out.

^ hahahaa right?! It's been a while. I played until like 2011 or so and then sort of dropped off and got into other stuff. Been a while but always kept an eye on here and there from Touch Arcade articles, but all in all I forgot about it. Not sure what really suddenly sparked me to pick back up, other than some mates playing MtG Mobile and I thought of SE. Maybe I wanted to see how far it has come. Pleasantly surprised been pouring over the new cards and doing some ranked battle with some of you :3

So far I'm rocking Zombie Majiya (still have my foil hero ^_^), Control Loest and Control Rothem, but also learned QUICK about Templar rushy Aramia and built one of those that I'm still tweaking. Didn't take long to learn the new mechanics, but still learning all the new cards and effects. Got some other ideas for some stuff too and hope it works as well in practice as it does in theory. Looking forward to trying them out with you guys!
